These are some of the benefits to becoming actively involved in CIIG

  • It is an excellent way to build up your network of contacts in the information profession and in the construction industry. This is especially useful if you are the only information professional in your organisation.
  • It enables you to find out about employment opportunities and potential employers and to get the inside picture of organisations of interest to you. You can suggest or arrange visits to the relevant organisations, buildings and information centres.
  • It is a good way to develop new skills, which can then be added to your CV. A chance to practice chairing meetings, taking minutes, managing finances and arranging meetings and visits in a relaxed 'non-work' environment.
